The Sanctuary is situated in the central district of Botswana around the village of Serowe, on the Kalahari sandveld with some unique pan systems in the area. It is a prime habitat for both the black and white rhinos as well as over 30 species of other mammals and more than 230 species of birds.

KRST posses itself as an ideal stop over for tourists travelling to, or from the northern parts of Botswana to the south. With our accommodation facilities that address the needs of those who have few days to spare at the Sanctuary, we have well laid campsites and chalets that create that African bush feel and dormitories which are mostly ideal for groups. Although these are self-catering facilities, we have a restaurant that serves scrumptious food with a bar for your thirst needs, which is next to the swimming pool.

Our curio shop and bottle store are available at your convenience, with a picnic site and braai facilities for unwinding in the bush. Activities include game viewing during the day and at night, rhino tracking and giraffe tracking which are only done in the early mornings, nature walks and bird watching.

We also provide conference facilities, with a playground for team building exercises. The Sanctuary, through the environmental education centre, provides environmental awareness and acts as a hub for research on environmental issues that affect our livelihood.
